Incorporated in 1976, PROS was founded on the need for planning organizations that can cope in an integrated manner with present day development projects since the diversity of resource requirements demanded by major projects is beyond the capabilities of individual specialists or groups with singular specialization.
Founded by eminent environmental planners and architects spearheaded by Manuel T. Mañosa, Jr., PROS has evolved since it was founded almost four decades ago, to combine the solid experience of its former company and principals, with the novel approaches and dynamisms of its younger partners, and establish what is now PROS Architects and Planners, Inc.
Our Planning Philosophy
Man and his environment are complete ecosystem whose elements must be maintained in a dynamic balance.
Planning must be sensitive to the needs and aspirations of the people for whom it is intended.
The introduction and adaptation of new technology must seek efficient and a humane utilization of scarce resources.
We use the TOTAL APPROACH to planning. This considers all the elements of a project: the people to be served, the activities that provide economic opportunities, the physical infrastructures that house, transport and support human activities, the institution that organize and manage vital decision-making process, and the ecosystem that sustains life.
The total approach is multi-disciplinary and responds to the complex relationship in the environment. The planning process operates within a SYSTEMS FRAMEWORK where each element is fused in to a coordinated whole-each component in casual relationship to the other, interlinked and inter-dependent.
The PROS Logo
Our logo demonstrates the articulation of group work. The double concentric is the integration of the planning expertise, which is at all times present. When these are brought together, a synergism, many times the strength of one acting individually, is achieved.
