Bohol Province in Central Visayas can be developed as a world-class tourism destination. It has a land area of 411,446 hectares and possesses notable dive sites and beaches in Panglao Island. Chocolate Hills, in Carmen is considered a geological wonder. The world famous tarsier of Corella, the Hinagdanan Cave famous for its stalagmites and stalactites, are among the notable wonders of the province. The cultural history of the province, particularly the 16th and 17th centuries are worth show-casing.

The Tourism Master Plan for Bohol is anchored on establishing a logical process in developing tourism resources and potentials of the province. It is envisioned to provide a program for promoting the province as a key international tourism destination.

The study shall prepare a Master Plan and Pre-feasibility Study for six tourism circuits in the Province of Bohol. These are :

1. Panglao, Balicasag and Pamilacan Islands, Sevilla, Bilar, Loboc, Loay, Albur, Baclayon and Tagbilaran;
2. Abatan River Watershed Area : Cortes, Maribojoc, Antequera, Balilihan, Catigbi and San Isidro, together with the tarsier towns of Corella and Sikatuna;
3. Ubay area which includes : Bien Unido, Trinidad, San Miguel, Dagohoy, Sierra Bullones, Pilar, Alicia and Carlos P. Garcia;
4. Northern Bohol, Loon-Calape-Tubigon Port as entry point, Clarin, Danao, Inabanga, Buenavista, Getafe and Talibon;
5. Carmen-Chocolate hills which are situated in 37 barangays, including Batuan and Sagbayan;
6. Anda Peninsula (Mabini-Candijay-Anda-Guindu-Liman) to Lila Town.

The planning services begins with the completion of relevant information and coordination that can provide a policy for the development of the tourism potentials of the province. The project shall use the six circuits as the catalysts for a comprehensive tourism program.
