In the late 1990's when the estate cultivated coffee, the national Artist Vicente Manansala and his students frequented the place to caputre in canvas the highland views. Ruby Roxas, daughter of President Manuel A. Roxas, used to visit the estate whenever she and her gangmates have the urge to go picnicking.
Even during the Japanese occupation in the 1940's the peaks
of the estate were used as observation posts due to its commanding view of
the lowlands.
In the 1990's the 139-hectare property is envisioned to be a bio-resort in
order to offer higher and better uses for the land. The owners of the
property envision to have in the proposed bio-resort family entertainment
shops, nature retreats and meditation nooks the sites of which abound in the
property.
At that time, with its estimated market value of land pegged at P250 per
square meter, the concept of a low intensity development is attainable.
Sensitivity of the site to indiscriminate human occupancy is so arranged in
order not to unduly stress the estates' carrying capacity.
