The project is a three-storey building that serves as an extension to the existing computer center of the UP Diliman Campus. The building is located at the corner of Magsaysay and Apacible within the National Engineering Center Block. Ably representing the university in leading the project, Dr. Luis Alarilla views the new facilities as additional teaching areas, computer laboratories and programming studios that are sorely short in supply. The building also functions as the nerve center of the fiber optic network of the campus.
The building has a gross floor area of 1174 square meters on land with an area of 700 square meters.
A major feature of the building is that it is wired to accept the latest electronic, telecommunication and computer systems in a flexible manner in order for new equipment or technology to connect into the system with ease. Adjunct lighting systems are connected to photo-voltaic cells in order to demonstrate the future with solar technology in relation to facilities for computing.
Deep roof overhangs characterize the building's silhouette. The facade is architecturally articulated in the context of the original building. Adequate physical distance between the two buildings are introduced in order to preserve the original architectural statement of the first pre-cast, prefabricated structure on campus. The second floor levels of both buildings are connected with a breezeway.
