As part of a total development program from growing to processing of prawn and shrimps, the company wants to establish an integrated processing plant. The strategy is not only to process its own produce but also its harvests from the adjacent farms. Furthermore, the wastes from the processing of shrimps and prawns are viewed by the company as a by-product with economic value. These are also processed as food additives, flavoring and as animal feeds.

The project is a collaborative undertaking of consulting firms from Manila and Kota Kinabalu. The Manila firms provide the pre-design consulting work beginning with criteria for site selection, land utilization, and space management. On the other hand, the Kota Kinabalu offices provide site validation activities and localize the space program to fit cultural requirements.

All architectural and engineering designs and specifications are pursued by the Manila office. The final construction plans are reviewed by Kota Kinabalu to ensure compliance with Malaysian laws. At the same time, the applications for permits and construction supervision are the responsibility of the Kota Kinabalu offices.

Materials for the construction are mainly reinforced concrete with steel pre-painted roofs. The joint venture project is a model of professional collaboration.
